Installation of pipelines from cast iron

When laying long water pipelines, cast -iron pipes are used, due to their cheapness and ease of installation. The pipes delivered to the object first check their quality, inspect on the subject of shells, growths, cracks, etc. When installing pipes, the outer diameter of its cylinder is also measured, as well as the inner diameter of the bells. At the beginning, the pipes are laid out along the length of the trench at a distance of 1-1.5 meters from the edge of the trench, placing them in the direction of laying.

At the beginning of the assembly section of the pipeline, the concrete emphasis is installed. Pipes of small mass and up to 200 mm in diameter, laid in a trench manually using a rope. Pipes of larger diameter are usually laid using cranes of pipelines, or arrow cranes. After lowering the pipe in the trench, it is installed with a smooth end in the bell of the previous laid pipe, while controlled by no matter what it reaches the end of the bell of 5-10 mm, then the connection is sealed with a strand, or using a rubber cuff.

Then the pipe is centered in vertical and horizontal directions. The tightness of the bell -shaped joints is ensured by sealing with a bituminized strand, and then arrange an asbestos -cement castle, as well as with the help of a self -sealing rubber cuff.
