Disinfect water in the pool

Choosing a pool for a country house, many in chorus say that a disinfectant reagent should be “not chlorine”, since it smells bad and harmful. However, let’s consider in more detail the benefits and dangers of all available options for disinfection of water in a private pool.

Hydrogen peroxide or active oxygen – according to sanitary and epidemiological standards in water, should not exceed 0.1 mg, although the ozone molecules themselves disappear in a maximum of 4 minutes after the creation. It is understandable that ozoned water, mixing with the pool unozone water (which happens already 34 minutes after cleaning), becomes harmless to microorganisms again.

Ozoning should therefore be carried out with simultaneous water chlorination, though half the chlorine is destroyed by ozone. But when disinfecting with liquid oxygen, ozone is strictly prohibited.

What method of water purification is more convenient in all respects for a private pool? It is best to use chlorine dispenser with simultaneous ultraviolet irradiation. At the same time, all the residual chlorine molecules after processing with an ultraviolet light decompose into safe and non -smelling elements.
